Matt Becker – Aston Martin Chief Engineer

Aston Martin Chief Engineer – Vehicle Engineering Matt Becker has been involved in the automotive industry for almost 30 years.

During his time with Aston Martin, Matt’s projects include the Aston Martin Vantage GT12, Aston Martin Vantage GT8, Aston Martin Vanquish S, Aston Martin DB11 and the new Aston Martin Vantage. Matt will lead the vehicle engineering development of all future Aston Martins in the Second Century plan.

Matt’s first position was with Lotus Cars in 1988 as a Vehicle Engineer where he spent 26 years engineering many Elise derivatives including leading the dynamic development of the series 2 Elise.  From 2007 Matt led the dynamics development of the new Evora and its following derivatives. Matt also led many 3rd party engineering consultancy projects during his time at Lotus.

Born in 1972, Norwich, England, he earned an HNC in Mechanical and production engineering in Norwich in 1994.
