Nick Lines – Vice President and Chief Planning Officer.

Vice President and Chief Planning Officer, Nick Lines holds a key position in shaping and defining Aston Martin’s Second Century plan.
 
Nick’s career began after completing his master’s degree in Engineering and Management at the University of Manchester, Institute of Science and Technology. Upon graduating in 1994, he joined Rover and undertook a variety of roles in manufacturing including the management of the Assembly shop at Plant Oxford.
 
After working on the Rover 75 launch, Nick moved to BMW in Germany where he worked on new model launches of a variety of new products including the 3 series coupe and cabriolet before moving to Aston Martin in 2001.
 
Nick’s initial posting at Aston Martin saw him lead the manufacturing business office at Gaydon and develop the company’s lean manufacturing processes. Moving away from Gaydon for a brief period, he oversaw the manufacture of the original Vanquish; preparing him for his next role at Gaydon. Here he took responsibility for both body and paint facilities for the VH product lines including DB9 and Vantage.
 
After progressing to the position of Manufacturing Engineering General Manager, Nick was appointed as the Head of Manufacturing at Aston Martin in 2012; a position he held for four years.
 
Nick’s appointment as Vice President and Chief Planning Officer came at the beginning of 2016; an exciting and ambitious period for the great British marque as it delivers its Second Century plan.
